I would say you are very brave. Some of my co-workers are trying to convince me to participate in the local polar bear plunge. I just don’t think I have it in me!

I wasn’t in, just a spectator wrapped up warmly with a hot chocolate, but yes, they are very brave!

Fair play to everyone there, more courage than I. Really shows up the milky white Irish skin though 🙂

My daughter did the swim this Christmas for Crumlin. She went in with hundreds of others in her bikini! It was absolutely freezing but I was so proud of her. It was our first year watching and I couldn’t believe how many participated. The swims were at 10, 11 and 12. Huge crowds and so many young people.

Wow, so many people, was it in crosshaven? Kinsale only had the one swim, great atmosphere and loads watching.

The swim was in myrtleville, but I think there were ones in fountainstown and elsewhere.

Goodness, wish I was so brave! The 40-Foot is our favourite place to watch similar brave folk. Thanks for posting. I too may want to repost this over at In an Irish Home…if that’s ok with you. Wishing you all the best. Kim
