For this week’s challenge, I decided to go mainly with church windows, old and new – some so old that the ivy has taken over. Hope you like them.

Very well captured photos… 🙂
The Aghina church is it a ruin or an old part of something else – looks exciting… 🙂

This is a ruin, dating back to the 1700s, I will send you a link to one of my posts ‘ruins of an old churchyard’ where I wrote about it previously.

I love the Aghina photos! So mysterious and full of drama . . .

Thank you, I did write about this church before, so I think it is time I reblogged! Here is the link (nothing like a bit of self promotion now and again!) http://wp.me/p2Y8cE-Ab

Yes, love Aghina as well, but that was a good spot in Grand Parade – wonderful what you see above ground level if you try.

These are beautiful photos; I love wandering around ruins. Here in NZ they tend to be old wooden farm buildings – not quite the same, but interesting nonetheless.

It’s one of the things I miss most about Europe. Spent a few weeks in England and Scotland last September doing family history research. Perhaps I’m macabre, but loved the old churchyards and cemeteries.

I’m glad. It’s taken years for my partner to get used to my “need” to stop at every roadside cemetery we pass. Now he’s often the one to suggest we stop. Must be love!
