Yes unfortunately it’s the time of year when we can get lots of rain and high winds. Some places have been badly flooded, luckily our area escaped the worst. But one of the towns near us had flooded shops for a night, which can do so much damage. Luckily they are open for business again

I was driving on the Cappaquin Road towards Lismore on Monday, Joan, and saw a tractor abandoned in a flooded field. It’s large wheels were almost covered over with water. We’ve been okay here in Youghal but the sandbags are all at the ready.

Lucky you. Some people have had a terrible time. And not for the first time. My cousin farms along that road so I hope they are okay
