While on a stroll along the old railway line by Blackrock Castle in Cork, we came across this mural on the wall of the old abandoned ticket office. Someone was being very optimistic that the trains would be along again ‘any minute now’ and the artist did a great job of making everything very life like.

Joan,
I’m not new to being on wordpress but I’m new to your site and I want to say that I’m very impressed with it. I have ancestors who come from Ireland I’m from County Clare and Saint Bridget area. So I know about where the train station is even though I have never been there I do have relatives who have. It is a beautiful mural and you have done it justice. I love it. Thank you so much for sharing.
