Thursday Doors : Nov 17, 2016

This old door is part of an old abandoned house we came across in Millstreet, County Cork, last weekend.   The place is on the main street, but it looks like no one has lived there or taken care of it, for a long time.     I do like the glass on the door though, which you can see in more details in the photo below.

    The glasswork on this one is wonderful Joan. Now we just have to find someone who’ll give the wooden portion some TLC 🙂

    Sad to say there are lots of doors like that around county Cork, isn’t there, Joan. The glass is lovely, though, and hasn’t been broken, considering the house is empty.

    Beautiful glasswork indeed. It would be worth buying it, fixing it and installing in someone’s home.

    Love the designs in that frosted glass. I’m amazed, as you are,that it hasn’t been broken.

    It used to be a shop many years ago, and the old lady passed away maybe 6-7 years ago.
