Castle Donovan

Castle Donovan, Drimoleague

Last Sunday we went on a hike in Dunmanway, West Cork, on a looped walk on the mountains around Castle Donovan. ย  This castle, also known as O’Donovan’s Castle, has been around since 1560, so it’s no wonder it looks a little weatherbeaten now!

    I was stunned when I was in Ireland at the amount of castles. I didn’t expect so many. Loved every one of them
