Window Shopping at Christmas Time

There is something very special about window shopping (and shopping itself) at Christmas time.   One of my favourite stores that really gets into the festive spirit, and creates a bit of magic, is Brown Thomas in the city centre.   We went for a walk around town a few evenings ago, to join the shoppers, look at the lights and get into the atmosphere, and once again the BT windows did not disappoint.

Here’s to a great Christmas to everyone, and hope all your wishes come true.

Weekly Photo Challenge : Twinkle

While out and about last night and this morning, I came across many twinkling lights, as all the towns and houses around make a very special effort to put up lots of cheery lights to welcome the Christmas season.

My first two photos were taken in Kinsale harbour, where some of the boats had run twinkling lights up and down the masts, making everything very festive. Then this morning, outside our main Post Office, the postbox was all in sparkly red, just waiting for our letters to Santa Claus/Father Christmas!

These stained glass windows in Chichester Cathedral may have different pictures in each one, but apart from that they are similar in every way, in fact doubles!

Mr Snowman and his little brother!

When I visited my local garden centre, the two brothers above were waiting  to greet me at the door, they are very cute, and for the next month I am sure we will see plenty of the Snowman family in various places.
